He was so caught up in the drug that he had to spend most of his teenage days in rehab and hospitals.

There was a point when he knew that the way he was taking drugs would kill him.

Despite that realization, he didn't stop because he had no hope in his life and had made peace with dying with drug use.

Sam’s Message To Himself

Sam is one of the most talented show creators in Hollywood.

He has come up with excellent shows like Euphoria and many more.

Sam is now at a point in his life where he is booming, and when he looks back at his old days, he feels that he was too harsh on himself.

If he could go back in time, he would want to tell his younger version to go easy on himself and have faith in his actions.

He also would advise teen Sam to believe in himself to create his world and family.

Sam Got Backlashed

In June 2023, Sam released his new drama series, The Idol, casting celebrities like Lily-Rose Depp and Weeknd.

After his show was released, a magazine known by the name Rolling Stone released a report claiming that Sam is misogynistic and is running a set that’s degrading women.

However, Sam took the misogynistic thing very calmly and talked about the news in his show conference.

He said that when his wife read that news to him, he knew that his new drama series was going to be a hit, denying the misogynist claim and could care less about the backlashes.

Also, the main lead actress, Lilly Rose Depp, agreed with Sam and stood on his side.

Sam Is The Inspiration Behind Euphoria

Sam created and directed the Euphoria series, which managed to gain a vast audience's attention.

When asked about his inspiration behind the series, Sam revealed that he used his personal experiences while writing Euphoria

He approached the HB0’s head of drama, where he talked about his life and struggles with drugs and anxiety.

The head of drama enjoyed hearing his life story and suggested he write something about the things he shared.

So Sam went home and started writing about his experiences and creating Euphoria
