Bharat Rishi Moorjani is known to the public as the husband of American actress Richa Moorjani.

Richa and Bharat started dating each other in 2010 after meeting through a dating app.
During an interview, Richa revealed how she and Bharat met.
She said she was driving back to Los Angeles with a friend after a weekend trip to the place she grew up in, Bay Area.
Her friend, who was in the passenger seat, got bored and took Richa's phone and created her account on a dating app while Richa was protesting.
Her friend then started swiping right and left and they were having fun laughing at the fact that almost every guy in the app was named Rishi.

Then they came across a profile of a guy whose name was Bharat.
They then started looking at his profile and found out that he had moved to Los Angeles from Vancouver and was involved in finance professionally.
Richa said Bharat didn’t have uploaded a picture of himself in a suit to prove his profession and also didn’t have any shirtless mirror selfies.
She found him to be a genuinely decent human being. They both swiped right to each other and started texting.
She said she quickly began to see him as a special and genuine person even before they met.
She said they are quite similar in many ways like they both are heavily into meditation, don’t drink much, have a deep love for music from the 80s and even though they come from families who have been in the West for a long time, they are still connected to their culture and heritage.
She also shared that they first met in person at the Griffith Observatory.
On their first meeting, Richa came to know that Bharat was just his legal name and that he does go by Rishi.
She thanked the universe because if he had put his name as Rishi, she would have swiped left.
She also found out that Rishi and she have birthdays just a day apart i.e. on May 26th and May 27th.
She added that these coincidences made her realize that their meeting was no coincidence at all.
Arranged fake audition to propose Richa
Bharat wanted to plan a surprise proposal to Richa so he asked her agents to set up a faux acting audition for a romantic comedy movie.
They asked Richa to dress up and go to a casting office and answer a series of questions about relationships, love, and others on camera.
She was auditioning and in the middle of nowhere, Bharat came in and got down on one knee.
Since Bharat had tears in his eyes, Richa was completely shocked and didn’t know if it was a part of the audition or not.
Then Bharat pulled out the ring from his pocket and asked her to marry him.
The entire thing was caught on tape and they ended up getting the cutest video of the proposal.
Bharat then took her to the Inn of the Seventh Ray, a restaurant in the mountains of Malibu.
She said their closest friends and family were already there waiting to surprise her and celebrate.
She said she wasted no time and started planning for the wedding the next day.
She found Shaadi Destination within one hour of a Google search and was on a video call with them the same day.
Their Lavish Wedding
Bharat is happily married to Richa. They tied the knot on October 19, 2019, and it was a three-day-long destination wedding in Cancun.
They got married according to Hindu tradition in Mexico.
The reason they chose Cancun as their wedding venue was because a few years ago Richa had been to a wedding near Cancun and she fell so much in love with the place that she dreamed of getting married there one day.
Richa said she loves Mexican culture, food, music, and people and she also finds so many similarities between Mexican and South Asian culture.
For their big day, they had different events like haldi, sangeet, wedding ceremony, reception, and many more.
In an interview, Richa recalled a few of her favorite moments from her wedding.
Her favorite event was Haldi as after their ceremony, Bharat and Richa jumped on the pool fully clothed and slathered with Haldi.
What made the event more special was their friends following them and jumping in the pool fully dressed one by one.
After the reception, Bharat and Richa along with their cousins and siblings went to the nightclub of the resort wearing very casual dresses.
Since no other guests were at the nightclub, the DJ played their requested songs and they danced doing weird dance moves and acting completely ridiculous.
The food on their big day was great and they had all you can eat inclusive package in their resort.
Richa said she was stuffing her face with food at every one of her events. They had a live Bollywood music band for their sangeet.
Like a cherry on top, they had a little rain which made their big day even more special like a blessing from above.
Every year on their wedding anniversary, Richa posts pictures with Bharat on her Instagram.
On October 20, 2021, she uploaded pictures with her husband from their big day with the caption,

Went to Thailand for honeymoon
After the wedding, they jetted off to Thailand for their honeymoon. They went to Koh Samui and Chiang Mai.
She said she felt lucky to go to Thailand before the Covid started and all the travel was shut down.
She added the resort at Koh Samui, Silavadee, was one of the most beautiful places they had ever stayed and one of her favorite memories from her honeymoon was visiting an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai.

Richa Is Not Still Over The Show Never Have I Ever
Since season 4 is the show's finale, Never Have I Ever, Richa had already wrapped up with the show.
All the shootings are completed, and season 4 will release next year. She said that it had not hit her till now.
She feels like she has been unable to say goodbye to the show.
She said she is meeting the show's people for press meetings and interviews.
She has been unable to process that she will never meet or work with them and be on the set working with the fantastic team.
She said the set is home to her as she is attached to it after working for three years.
Thinking that she won’t be able to walk again in that set is scary and daunting for her. She said she is grateful to be part of such a great show.
She said that the people on the show spoiled her a lot, and it felt like a home working there.
She added that she might not feel the same kind of belongingness in any project that she will step on.
She has not been able to get over the feeling that she will not be in that show as it has ended.
