Born in Hvidovre, Denmark, Jonas started his football career with his hometown club Avedore IF in 2007 at the age of eight years old.
After three years at the club, he moved to Rosenhoj Boldklub and was named player of the year the following year. He was only twelve years old at the time.
In 2012, he joined FC Copenhagen and played for the club's U17, U18, and U19 teams before making it to the senior team on his nineteenth birthday in 2018.

In his 2020/21 season, he scored 11 goals in 18 league games.
