Queensland Police Patrol Inspector Gaten Oates gave an update on the crash that took the life of Australian cricket legend Andrew.
On May 14, around 11 pm, Andrew's car rolled over the Harvey range road near the Alice River Bridge.
After the accident, they identified the car driver as Andrew when the reporter asked whether he was drunk while driving.
He said it would be looked into as per the normal procedure, and they have to wait until the final report arrives.
He further said speeding might be one of the signs of the accident. Reports prepared for the accident will indicate if there is another contributing factor to the accident.
He said that the accident was heard by the neighbors nearby, and they were the first person on the scene and alerted the emergency services.
The emergency services provided the assistance they could at the moment, but unfortunately, he died on the scene.
