She was taken to Regional One Hospital. Her condition was severe when she was taken to hospital. 

Later the doctor announced that she didn’t survive. 

The driver of the scene remained on the spot, and the investigation is going on. 

As of now, no criminal charges have been put against the driver. The Memphis police and LSU confirmed her death. 

LSU released a statement and paid tribute to her. They said she was a massive part of the women's basketball family and full of life and promise.

She shared she always dreamt of playing with the best and loved challenges.

Danielle was considered one of the most accomplished first-year students in the history of LSU.

After she joined LSU, he got Freshman of the Week five times in a row. 

She said she did not want to be judged as a freshman when she came to LSU

She was excited to play with her new team. She said she clicked with her teammate instantly. 

She was happy to play in the tournament with her new team. 

Danielle Played Basketball Since Her High School Days

Danielle used to play as a point guard since she was in high school. 

She was ranked 25 high school players in America by ESPN Hoop Gurlz, and her ranking as a point guard was 7.

She led her Memphis Central to a first-class 3A state championship for the first time after 89 years.

Memphis Central was ranked as number 11 national wide by the ESPN Fab poll in 2011.

In high school, she was invited to compete at under-17 USA basketball trials. 

After she joined LSU, she was a standout basketball player there too. 

She helped her team to bring a total of 16 appearances at the NCAA tournament.

She was named SEC All-Defensive Team twice in 2013 and also named Freshman Honors in the same year. 

In 2015 she was awarded ALL-SEC Honors.
