He said his parents did everything to ensure that their children were well and that he would be forever grateful to them for that.

Tedesco fell in love with football very early. Both he and his younger brother would play in their apartment.

Their closet was their gateway. They almost destroyed everything while playing.

After secondary school, he did a commercial apprenticeship at a small company, got his high school diploma, and then studied industrial engineering.

He then started investing more time in training and focusing on it. The rest is history.

His younger brother was a talented footballer

His younger brother Umberto was a talented footballer. He was the most talented in the family, but he could not make it to more than the national league.

Tedesco, in an interview with Goal, admitted that his brother had a good left hoof and was a better kicker than him.

He said it was all about having fun when he ran around the football field. He aspired to be like Roberto Baggio and later like Alessandro del Piero

They were his big idols.

He took over as head coach at the age of 31

Tedesco was just 31 when he took over as head coach at Erzgebirge Aue on the 8th of March, 2017

At the time, the club was last in the 2—Bundesliga table with 11 games to play.

According to Tedesco, everybody said he couldn't do that, but in the last 11 games, he led the team to win six, drew two, and lost only three to stay in the league.

Then, he got an offer from Schalke

After Aue, he was very self-confident, so when he was asked what potential he could see with the team, he said it was not easy, but they had the chance to qualify for the Champions League.

He led the team to a second-place finish in the Bundesliga in his first season in charge.

He was sacked in 2019 after a 0-7 loss against Manchester City in the Champions League round of 16 and seven winless games in a row.

After being sacked, it took him some time to digest because of his strong emotional connection with the team and the fans.

Then he took over Spartak Moscow the same year in October and when he took over, the club was 11th.

In the first season, they made it to the semi-finals of the Russian Cup and lost 2-1 in St. Petersburg.

They finished second in the league to qualify for the Champions League in the second season, but despite that, he decided to leave at the end of that season because of his family.

He said it had been very tough for him to be separated from his family members through the coronavirus pandemic.

In December 2021, he took over RB Leipzig. The team qualified for the Champions League and in the German Cup, they made it to the final in Berlin

He was sacked in September 2022 after a 4-1 home Champions League loss to Shakhtar Donetsk.

He was appointed manager of Belgium national team on the 8th of February, 2023.
