Inna and one of her sons went to Ukraine Just a day before the Russian Invasion

Inna, along with her son, took a flight to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, just a day before Russia attacked there back in 2022

She left London for her son’s scheduled routine checkup by a doctor there in Kyiv

Andriy bid farewell to his wife and son and stayed in London. He then woke up to terrifying news.

Andriy never imagined waking up in London with a news headline of a Russian invasion in Ukraine and sudden fear that his family and friends were in danger there.

He gave an interview to a Ukranian YouTube channel where he said when the war started on February 24, he arrived at the training and couldn't talk.

He burst into tears and asked the coach to let him go home. After he arrived home, he felt completely helpless and asked himself what do I do next?

He was so miserable that he said he wanted to run and hit his head against the wall and regretted sending his family to Kyiv while he was sitting in London

His coach and teammates did all they could to comfort and support him, but he couldn't eat or sleep and was constantly calling his relatives.

Football was his only escape and he said only when he trained or played, he could switch off for a couple of hours from all his problems.

Dream to return to Dynamo, Native Club came true

For Andriy, Dynamo is an important, exceptional and hometown club that has helped him to become what he is today.

So, his attachment to the club is high. There is a dream that he will return to the club, but no one knows when, says Inna in an interview in 2021.

His dream came true on June 27, 2023, when he signed a two-year contract with Dynamo Kyiv.
