Her net worth is currently under review. As of now, we have the net worth of her ex-husband, Dale Earnhardt.

He had a net worth of $70 million at the time of his death in 2001.

She remarried following her divorce

Latane moved on with her life following her divorce from her first husband. She met a guy named Jack Key.

Kerry, in a podcast, said his mom and Jack became friends and would hang out together and that it was only two years later that they started a serious relationship and eventually got married.

After they got married, Jack adopted Kerry and gave his surname. They later gave birth to their daughter, Janet Janine (JJ).

Kerry was using Key as a surname until he was 16.

She did not let know her son about his biological father until she had to

Latane and her husband did not let Kerry know about his father until he was 16.

Kerry, while appearing on his half-brother Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Podcast, shared about how he found out about his biological father and their first conversation.

According to him, he didn’t know anything about his biological father until he was 16.

He thought his mom and Jack had him and waited some time to get married.

But when Kerry was in 9th grade, he started asking questions to his mom because he sort of discovered that he was adopted because by the time he knew Jack was her second marriage.

Growing up, he played baseball and football. It was during that time he started noticing a lady with three girls who were regulars in his games.

One day after the game, a lady went up to him and introduced herself as his grandmother Martha and other ladies as his cousins.

He then went to his mom and had a serious conversation where he got to know that his father was Dale

Since his mother was a good friend of his dad’s brother Danny Earnhardt's wife, Sherry, Sherry lined everything up for him to talk to his father on the phone one night.

When he finally got to talk to his father, the very first word he said was, “Hello, this is Kerry,” and his father’s reply was, “How are you doing”?

Then they talked about how they missed one another sometimes for not being in one another’s life and that they would work out someday.

He didn’t get to talk to his father for two years after their first conversation, but his father would send him Christmas gifts.

Kerry then recalled the time when he first greeted his dad. The day he got his license, he went straight to his grandmother’s house.

After having a conversation with his grandmother, he asked if his dad was out there. It took him two hours to muster the courage to talk to his dad.

He went to his garage and finally greeted him. Then they rode around the town and had a conversation.

Kerry’s relationship with his step-dad

Kerry always had a good relationship with his stepdad, Jack. He took the responsibility of a father and raised him as his own.

Kerry said he had a pleasant life growing up with him and credited him for teaching him a lot of things.

He taught him fishing and golfing and helped him work on cars in the garage. Jack was also his baseball coach.
