Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, to his parents from Abijan, Guehi moved to London, England with his family when he was just a year old.
Guehi said he had a good childhood and had everything he needed, proper food and clothes. His parents also made sure he had adequate education.

Guehi started playing football at local club Cray Wanderers when he was six years old.

He was the part of Chelsea’s Under-18 to win the quadruple in 2018.

Guehi made his professional debut for Chelsea in September 2019 in a 7-1 win over Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup third round.
He made his second appearance for the club in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United before he moved to Swansea City on loan. He joined Crystal Palace in 2021.
On his decision to leave Chelsea, he told Sky Sports that it was tough and hurt a lot since he had been there for so long and had called him home.
