Scaperrotta and Zaniolo decided to let bygones be bygones for their three-year-old son.
In December 2020, Zaniolo announced via his Instagram that his relationship with Scaperrotta was over, explaining that they realized they were no longer compatible by living together.
He also admitted to sharing the dream of having a family together but things taking a different direction.
When Scaperrotta announced that she was pregnant with their child, he was frank in telling her that he didn't feel ready for such a commitment, especially due to their deteriorating relationship.
She accused Zaniolo of leaving her alone during her pregnancy
Soon after Scaperrotta discovered her pregnancy, she and Zaniolo parted ways. She welcomed their son Tommaso in 2021.
Soon after the birth of her son, she took her Instagram, accusing Zaniolo of leaving her alone during her pregnancy.
In her Instagram story, she shared that Tommaso was wanted and desired, and the discovery of his arrival was celebrated in an atmosphere of shared joy, but something changed, and she found herself alone on the path of traveling towards parenthood, without the support of any kind.
She also shared she was afraid of doing things alone and that the baby missing out on a paternal figure was a disappointment because Nicolo was missing all those emotions, discoveries, a mixture of joy and fear, all of the things one experiences during pregnancy.
She wrote she faced a brick wall while trying to make him involved, without success, and concluded by saying she hoped that the walls would be knocked down and that Nicolo could find the courage to emancipate himself, to open his heart as a father and enjoy all the emotions of being a parent.

In an interview, he expressed his desire to return to Serie A in the summer stating that the Turkish reality is tough to understand for an Italian.
He said he misses a lot, his family, his friends, and his son but it’s up to the clubs to define his future, he belongs to Galatasaray.
He also expressed a lot more chances at Aston Villa while talking about his low playing time at Villa.
