It is the only second time Albania has qualified.
As an appreciation, he received Albanian citizenship in December 2023.
Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama invited President Bajram Begaj to the podium of the "Best of 2023" gala ceremony and declared Sylvinho as an Albanian citizen.
He also has a Spanish passport, which he received in 2004 after spending three years in Spain.
