Lorenzo explained what Roma means to him

Lorenzo has a special connection with Roma. He reflected on his time at Roma, saying, "Playing with Roma means the world. Roma is not a joke. It's not a stepping stone. Roma is Roma."

Lorenzo joined the youth academy of local side Roma at the age of nine. When he was 16, they noticed that there was something wrong in his heart.

After the medical treatment, it was discovered that he had some sort of arrhythmia and was asked to stop playing for at least six to eight months.

Lorenzo shared the experience to be hard as there was nothing he could do except for one thing and that was listening to his heartbeat.

He turned to his own doctor and did a check-up on himself every day.

It went on for four months, along with hope and prayers that, somehow, the irregular beats would disappear.

Fortunately, they were gone, and he was back on track. But sadly, he broke his fifth metatarsal bone, and he was out for six weeks.

Those periods helped him grow a lot and he was more inclined toward spending every minute of every day to become a footballer.

According to him, playing for Roma was everything to him.

When he was five, he was already going to the Stadio Olimpico with his dad, where he would have to fight and argue his way past the other fans whenever he had to go to the bathroom.

When he put football boots on for the first time, he was dreaming of running out in front of the fans at the Stadio Olimpico

At the age of eight, Roma sent scouts to see him play.

When he got the acceptance letter from Roma, he felt like his life turned into a movie where he was the main character, and all those crazy dreams came true, he expressed.

On the 15th of March, he scored a screamer and won the game in the quarter-final of the youth league against Manchester City in Latina

Then a few days later, he got called up for the first team game.

When he was 19, he went on loan to Sassuolo for two years but later returned being a lot more mature, and above that he felt the responsibility to live up to the greatness of Roma.

He concluded by saying that he tries to explain to everyone what Roma means and that he tells his teammates what club it is to the fans, to the city, and to the people.
