Vitinha made his debut with Porto's reserve team in 2019 and was part of the 2018-19 UEFA Youth League victory

He was then loaned out to Wolverhampton Wanderers with an option to make the loan into a permanent deal but the club declined to exercise the option at the end of the season. 

Vitinha in an interview expressed that he expected to play more at Wolves. 

"I am not going to lie: I came up with the idea of having more minutes, playing more, and being in the team more often, but it didn't happen," he told the interviewer. 

He also said that he had the same type of opportunities and tried to make the most of every bit of it to show his value and help the team.

The goal he will forever remember

Vitinha is shining at PSG with his spectacular performance since joining the club in June 2022

He was voted Man of the Match in September 2023 after a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in one of the group stages of the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League.

During an interview with PSG TV, Vitinha recalled the best goals he has scored to date and named one of his best memories. 

According to him, his goal in Barcelona is the best memory he will keep for the rest of his life. 

On the 10th of April, 2024, he scored his first Champions League goal in a 3-2 home defeat to Barcelona and again six days later scored another goal against Barcelona in the second leg contributing PSG to a 4-1 victory and qualification to the semi-final. 

Vitinha said he is going to remember that moment for the rest because it was an important goal at an important time. 

"That goal that gave us the lead...If I could frame that goal in my house...It's a goal that will stay with me, with the club, and I think, with the fans...I will never forget that goal", he added.
