Age

Alan is 59 years old and he celebrates his birthday on November 19.

Net worth

According to reports of 2023, his son Harry has a net worth of around 20 million US dollars.

Went through a horrifying incident

During the Euro 2020 final, Alan, along with his family, was present at the Wembley Stadium in London, England to support his son who was playing a match against Italy.

The game was going smoothly when all of a sudden there was a commotion.

A mob burst in through a disabled entrance and started stampeding past anyone standing in the way.

Alan got caught in the middle and found himself pinned to the floor.

Alan had suffered broken ribs but didn't seek medical attention as he was not the one to make a big fuss about anything.

He was glad that his grandchildren didn't get injured in the incident as he always carried them on his shoulder at every match they went to.

His son later revealed that he was struggling to breathe as his ribs were broken.

Harry further said that his father was "involved in the stampede" and "did suffer a couple of injuries," to The Sun.

Harry also said that was not a nice experience and it shook him up. He added that it could have gone worse but thankfully it just didn’t cause more issues.

Harry explained that it was a scary and disappointing thing.

UEFA launched an investigation into the incident. Alan also hopes that such incidents will never happen again.

His wife replied to the negative comments towards their son

Harry has been targeted by racism, and negative and abusive comments for some time now.

He was even booed during his game against Scotland at Hampden Park

His wife, Zoe Maguire, couldn't take it anymore and took to Instagram to defend her son.

She wrote as a mother seeing the level of negative and abusive comments that her son is receiving from some fans, pundits and the media is disgraceful and totally unacceptable to any walk of life, never mind someone who works his socks off for club and country.

She further added that she was there at the stand at Hampden Park as usual and it is not acceptable what has been created over nothing.

She understands that in the football world, there are many ups and downs, positive and negative sides but what her son received is far beyond football.

For her, seeing her son go through what he is going through is not ok.

She would hate seeing any other parents or players go through what her son and herself are going through in the future, especially the young children breaking through the ranks today.

She said her son has a massive heart and it is a good job he is mentally strong and can handle it as others may not be able to and she wishes this sort of abuse on nobody.
