But listening to that question, he couldn’t think of anything.
He was speechless as he only knew and wanted to play football.
All his life, he had enjoyed playing football, and he chose it as his career. He is now doing really well in his career.
Personal Training Is Necessary
Alireza is someone who believes in training personally. It doesn’t mean he hates team training.
Instead, he loves to train with his team. But after finishing all his team training, he likes to train personally in extra hours and free time.
Many other players skip the team training, thinking they can train harder personally. But for Alireza, both the training are important.
With the team, he can develop unity and knows how they sync, whereas training personally increases his personal strength and allows him to work on his weaknesses freely.
Hence he comes in the morning to train, and if he finds it not enough, he also comes in the afternoon.
Sleeping On The Streets
Alireza didn’t have a bright past, as he worked to earn food at a young age.
He worked in a cloth factory, delivered pizza, washed cars, and cleaned streets.
He played football from the age of 12 as a striker, and eventually, he found his talent in goalkeeping.
But his father was totally against football. His father believed football was not a career to be chosen and had no future.
But his dreams were bigger. Hence he moved to the capital of Iran, hoping to join a bigger team.
He ran from his house, so he had nowhere to stay.
He slept in the streets until he joined a local team and earned himself some shelter working in a low-paid job.
It was difficult for him as his salary was not enough for him. But he had to do it for the love of football.
Managed To Stop A Penalty Shot
Alireza was not limited to the local club.
He was hungry for more, and his talent was recognized by one of the country's top teams, Naft.
He worked there because of the first keeper on the team. Eventually, he became the first goalkeeper of his national team.
The biggest part of his career was that he actually saved the penalty kick of the best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, which had never been done before in a World Cup match.
It was a big day for him and his country because he made history and inspired many in his home country to work hard to achieve their dreams.
