Carlos Won His First Wimbledon Champion

Carlos played against Novak Djokovic in the finals. He defeated one of the best players of all time. He lifted the Wimbledon trophy at the age of 20. 

He said he was inspired to play tennis watching Novak, and it was an unbelievable experience for him to play against him in the finals. 

He added it was a lovely experience to create history in the tournament. He said that he was a little kid when Novak was winning games.

Carlos Struggled At First During The Game In The Finals

The first 40 minutes were tough for Carlos as he struggled a lot. 

He said that he wouldn’t be able to beat Novak and was nervous to play against him. 

He shared he thought he was playing his best but was missing a lot of chances, and it was tough for him as he was playing against Novak Djokovic

He mentioned he prepared himself for the second set. He stayed focused and patient to grab his chances and score. 

He tried to remain close to the score. He said he returned in the second set, which motivated him to perform well in other locations. 

He added if he could not win the second set, he would probably have lost other locations and would not be able to win the Wimbledon. 

Carlos Shared His After Plans About His Wimbledon

Carlos said that he was going to an official dinner party. He said he had not planned any parties or vacations. 

He shared he would spend a lot of time with his family.

Carlos Talked About Celebrating His Win With His Parents

After winning the Grand Slam, Carlos walked to the box and celebrated with his parents. His parents are also a huge fan of tennis. 

His father is a former tennis player and one of the best players in Spain at that time. 

Carlos said winning Wimbledon was the most significant moment not only for him but for his parents too. 

He said it was a special moment to share that moment with him. He thanked his dad for motivating him to play tennis from an early age. 

He added his father's life has always revolved around tennis, and to witness his son lifting a trophy and making history at Wimbledon was an incredible moment for him. 

He said he hugged his parents after his win, and he hoped he would get a photo of that moment so they could keep it as a memory and cherish it.
