When he scored his first goal for Denmark, he was finding it difficult to enjoy because he was missing one guy he wanted to see.

According to Hojbjerg, he didn't find the real purpose in his life until he had his daughter.

He recalled calling his mother after the birth of his daughter, saying that life gave him something back finally.

"My father is with me a lot in everything I do, and he gives me inspiration like my family do, like my kids do, so they are with me”, he added.

Hojberg talked about what it takes to make it at an elite level

Hojberg’s football journey began after he moved to Germany alone at the age of 16 with the dream of becoming a professional.

He was used to playing with the same age in his hometown, but when he moved to Germany, he had to be very fast suddenly because he had to play with much older than him.

It was a challenge for him to be a professional every day, to behave like a man every day, and to make choices like a man.

He was the youngest person at the time to debut in the Premier League at 17 in April 2013 at Bayern Munich

While he was at Bayern Munich, he was loaned out to FC Augsburg and Schalke 04 before moving to Southampton.

After four years with the club, he switched to Tottenham Hotspur. During an interview, Hojberg talked about what it takes to make it at an elite level.

According to Hojberg, it was always having the right attitude. The attitude about how he presented himself every day.

To prove himself every day was a lot of attitude. The right attitude is not only in the good moments but also in the difficult moments always trying to be stable.

He also said he believes in how one grows up and the values one gets in a house which eventually will mark how one makes choices in their career.
