Roy had kidney cancer at the end of 2012. After the surgery, he had his tumors removed from his right kidney.

Along with the tumor, Williams also had several minor health issues like backbone problems. He also had gone through shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum.

Due to chronic medical conditions, Wanda Williams also had several surgeries.
